10Homes Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how 10Homes collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website and services.
Buyer offers and identity checks
Our buyer and seller portals collect offer details, identity and address information, ownership/authority details and funding evidence. We use this for our agency service and legal anti-money-laundering obligations, separately from marketing. We use Base44 for the portal and Yoti for document, face/liveness and watchlist verification. Yoti explains its camera and identity processing during its own journey. We retain verification reports and necessary identity evidence privately. Decisions require staff review; a submitted offer or completed electronic check does not itself approve a transaction. Contact our team if you need an alternative way to verify your identity.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, such as your name, contact details and property details when you request a valuation, make an enquiry or instruct us to sell your home. We also collect information automatically when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to provide our estate agency services, to communicate with you about your property, to send you marketing where you have consented, and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations including anti-money-laundering checks.
Sharing your information
We share your information with third parties only where necessary to provide our services, such as with conveyancing solicitors, mortgage brokers, property portals (Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket) and Gazeal. We may also share information where required by law. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations. CDD identification evidence and supporting transaction records are normally kept for five years after our business relationship ends, then deleted unless another lawful retention ground applies. Different periods may apply to enquiries and other records.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Contact
If you have any questions about how we handle your personal data, or to make a data subject request, please contact us at the address on our contact page.
This document is provided for information only and does not constitute legal advice. For questions about any of these policies, contact 10Homes directly.
